What is aCharge?
aCharge is a cloud-based load and charge management platform (CPMS) for electric mobility, developed by ACEMO GmbH. It combines dynamic load management, charge point management, tariffs, billing and roaming in one system, with an optional local controller for on-site resilience.
What is the difference between aCharge TELECONTROL and aCharge DYLAMO?
TELECONTROL provides single-stage dynamic load management over standardized interfaces and connects charge points via Modbus TCP. DYLAMO goes further: multi-dimensional load management, mixed-vendor charge points over both OCPP and Modbus, plus heat pumps, PV inverters and transformers, and automatic metrology-compliant billing.
How many charge points can aCharge manage?
aCharge DYLAMO controls up to 1,000 charge points per site. aCharge Cloud is designed to scale from a single site to hundreds of thousands of charge points in one installation.
What happens if the internet connection fails?
The local controller keeps running on site: it meters, regulates and continues to enforce the site capacity, so charging is not interrupted. Once the connection returns it re-synchronises with the cloud automatically — sessions and meter readings are not lost.
Is aCharge compliant with § 14a EnWG?
Yes. Both aCharge TELECONTROL and aCharge DYLAMO meet the requirements for grid-serving control under § 14a EnWG. On a control signal from the grid operator, power is limited rather than switched off, and every dimming event is logged. The accompanying documents are in the downloads area.
